I tried this because I was intrigued with the little scrubber that comes with it, and was fairly disappointed. It is a very soft rubbery little pad, which seemed to have potential, but which didn’t add anything to the washing experience. Especially since this soap has exfoliating beads in it already, you really don’t need the pad (and I haven’t used it for the most part.) The bottle is hard to store upside down (which I like to do, to make the liquid easier to squeeze out as you use it up), and since I use it in the shower, the labels start to curl off when the bottle gets wet, which is a bit annoying too.
The exfoliating soap itself isn’t bad. It’s not overly harsh and seems to do an ok job. I’ve tried better and I’ve tried worse. I don’t remember exactly what I paid for it at Target, but I bought it when it first came out and the price seemed a bit high. (in the future I will make note of the cost for the blog).
I will give this a 2 out of possible 5 stars. It was ok, but I won’t be buying it again, I just wasn’t impressed enough. There are scrubs I love a lot more (St Ives Apricot scrub, is the BEST and always a good price), and face soaps I love more.
Besides L’Oreal still tests on animals, another reason not to be too fussed about this. One star lost for animal testing.
